Just read about this in my newly arrived latest issue of Video Watchdog.  Watched the YouTube trailer and seems a hoot (though nothing tops the Turkish superhero movie with Santo, Capt. America and a villainous Spiderman -- all in baggy suits!)

Available at a rather lofty price from Diabolik DVD.  Notifying fellow Eurospy fans whose completion will not be satisfied until they have a representative spy movie from every nation...  Wink

Camps,

I have a Turkish Tv capture of this and yes, it's a hoot (maybe not a hoot in Tur-english?). Even though I haven't been terribly impressed with Onar on quality (too damn variable), there are a few write-ups in the blogosphere touting this release.

The Onar website is having a sale this month, until the end of June if I'm not mistaken. I think this title is listed for 13 euros... steal? maybe, maybe not. Give me a shout because I was "talking" about this to another fan just yesterday.

cheers!

Cheers for that SD -
I've been waiting for this to come down a bit and purchased it straightaway
(his eBay store doesn't reflect the savings on the website).

Altin Cocuk is by far the best Onar release I've seen.  The quality is very impressive!  And the movie's great.  As you say, a hoot.  Full of Bond music, too.  But it's an ACTUAL MOVIE, on par with any Eurospy of the time, and not something that looks like it was shot by kids like a lot of the Turkish superhero stuff.  I definitely recommend the Onar DVD, and I really hope they get around to doing the second one... especially if the print quality is just as good!

It does look (and sound) far and away better than other Onar title.

Bill also has the two sequels which he may release depending on the sales of the first (which I've heard have not been too good).

Vote with your wallets, mates!
